Adidja Palmer would grow up listening to Dancehall and American music before releasing his first tune, under the name Adi Banton. He would continue, for example to write for Bounty Killer and others, and by releasing a number of tunes under a number of names. Only then did he decide to continue under the name Vybz Kartel, a household name in Dancehall business.
